AI Scout Now Suggests Contractors from the Mellow Pool

Who It’s For: Businesses and Contractors

We never stop looking for better ways to connect businesses with great specialists. The latest: AI Scout now analyzes Mellow’s own contractor base and suggests candidates for your project, ranked by relevance so the best matches rise to the top.

‍

From there, you invite the ones who look promising, review their responses, narrow them down to a shortlist, and get to work.

‍

‍

We call this contractor base the Mellow Pool. As a contractor, getting in is simple: sign up for Project Radar, tell us what you do, and complete your profile. Businesses will then find you through AI Scout Match.

‍

If you’ve already responded to a request in AI Scout, you’re in automatically.

‍

A couple more AI Scout improvements:

• There’s now a quick-access menu for the Requests and Freelancers sections – the first has everything your company has posted, and the second is your personal contractor pool.
• Social Boost by Mellow is on its way – it’ll be part of the Promotion feature. More on that next time!

Contractor Management Updates

Who It’s For: Businesses

‍

Contractor Management keeps growing. Here’s what’s new:

‍

• The Invoices and Team pages now have search and filters.
• The account dashboard now includes a product tour – perfect if you’ve recently signed up and want to get your bearings quickly.
• The new Payments section lets you see the full payment history for each contractor.

‍

Pay-as-you-go tools are also in the works – stay tuned.

Project Radar: Better Matches, Clearer Project Statuses

Who it’s for: Freelancers

‍

A few things got better behind the scenes – and a few right where you can see them.

‍

First, Project Radar now factors in what you share about yourself during onboarding, so the projects it suggests fit your profile more closely.

‍

Second, we rethought how project statuses work. Instead of checking boxes manually, you now see a simple dialog that asks you one question – and sets the right status automatically.

‍

‍

Third, clicking a project in Project Radar now opens a page with all its details.

‍

‍

Other Updates and Bug Fixes in May

‍

• Work completion certificates and invoices can now be viewed directly in the mobile app.
• The calculation logic for personal income tax has been refined, particularly around the progressive tax scale.
• Project Radar has moved from a no-code platform to a proper codebase.
• The Radar design now matches the look of Mellow’s other services.
• Signing out no longer triggers an infinite redirect.
• Users with long first or last names can now complete their profile without any issues.
