Tamina Amadyar

Germany
B01/3

Tamina Amadyar (b. 1989, Kabul, Afghanistan) is a Berlin-based painter whose work explores memory, place, and perception through color and form. She has studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Tal R.

Amadyar's paintings draw on personal experiences of landscapes and environments, translating them into reduced, vibrant compositions that combine geometric and biomorphic elements. Her work is characterized by its minimalist approach and its focus on color and light. Color remains central throughout her practice, while shapes subtly hint at spaces and landscapes. Her practice engages with abstraction while also incorporating figurative works — often watercolors —depicting everyday scenes, interiors, and people from her immediate surroundings.
