Clare Burnett

Clare Burnett (b. 1964, UK) grew up in France and Belgium, and lives and works in London. She studied Architecture, Law and Social and Political Sciences at Christs College, Cambridge, Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art (St Martin’s) and Art Education at the Institute of Education, London. From 2015 to 2022 she was President of the Royal Society of Sculptors. She has studios in Berlin and London. She shows nationally, internationally, and is represented by Art Seen in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Site-specific installations: Le Corbusier’s Unite d’Habitation, France; Brompton and Norwood Cemeteries; Bishopsgate Square, London. In 2025 she was commisioned by Hive Curates in collaboration with Landsec, to create a public artwork for Timber Square, Bankside, London.
Her work is in public collections in Germany, Cyprus, the USA, the UK, and China, among others in: Museum Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg; State Collection of Cyprus Contemporary Art; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Maggie’s Cancer Care, UK. Also in private collections in Cyprus, Mexico, Germany, France, UK, and USA.
