
Andreas Mallouris was born in Nicosia, and he lives and works in Nicosia and in Athens. He is a visual artist and holds a BA(Hons) in Fine Arts by the University of West of England, and an MFA in Fine Arts by Goldsmiths University of London.
His research and work encompass sculpture, painting, drawings, installation, video and performance. It concerns the position of the body in its’ failure in relation to its’ history and mythologies, hierarchies and queer politics and memory.
He is a Board Certified Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon that studied medicine at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, trained in Plastic surgery in Athens and London and has been awarded a PhD in Plastic Surgery.
He is a co-founder and director of Koraï project space, an artist run space in Nicosia active since 2017.
