Margarita Bofiliou 1979, Athens, Greece, lives and works in Athens.
Her work deals with the confusion, loneliness and structural violence that the subject experiences in post-capitalist era and the inconsistencies of post-internet realities with a humorous and distorting approach. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and writing she creates a practice that investigates the dialectic between physical and spiritual experience of the quotidian under trauma, authorship and objectification of the body.
She holds an MA from the Royal College of Art (Photography), London (IKY scholarship), BA (Integrated Master) from Athens School of Fine Art (Painting) and BA from University of West Attica (Photography). In 2019/20 she was a fellow of the SNF Artist Fellowship Program of ARTWORKS.
