Onboarding Gets Simpler in Contractor of Record

We’ve simplified onboarding in Contractor of Record. Now, after you register, you complete verification directly in your account, sign the offer – and if you’re in the US, a W-9 form too. That’s it, you’re done.
It takes longer to explain than to actually do it.

Invoices – Simpler. Fewer Fields, Fewer Errors
Who It’s For: Freelancers Who Work with Clients through Invoicing
Sending an invoice to a new client used to mean filling out six fields. You had to provide not just their email, country, and company name, but also a registration number – and for US and EU clients, a tax number as well. That meant searching for details, spending extra time, and sometimes writing to support.
So we removed the unnecessary fields.
Now all you need is the client’s email, country, and company name. That’s it. The client fills in the rest during verification – right before paying the invoice.
We also added a “How it works” link to the invoice preview page so clients don’t get lost. It leads to a video guide that walks through registration, onboarding, adding funds to the balance, accepting an offer, and making a payment.
We expect this to shorten the time to first payout and make the whole process smoother for both freelancers and their clients.
Ultra in AI Scout – An Assistant That Finds Candidates for You
Who It’s For: Companies Using AI Scout
Lots of product updates this time! Let’s start with the biggest one.
We launched Ultra – a personal assistant that actively finds candidates for you. If you’re not getting enough applications or can’t find the right specialists, contact the Ultra manager – they’ll find three or more candidates with a match score of 80% or higher within 48 hours.
How it works:
- A block to activate Ultra now appears in the Candidates section – select the button, and the assistant adds your request to the queue.
- You can track progress right in your account, from briefing through to the finished shortlist.
- When candidates are found, you’ll get an email so you can review their profiles.
- Candidates from Ultra are tagged, so you always know which ones Ultra found.
- If the first shortlist doesn’t work out, you can use Ultra again.
We also updated requests:
- Redesigned the editor
- Made the public pages of projects more informative
- Improved previews and description structure
- Simplified request creation with a new full-screen mode
Plus, we polished the interfaces. Profiles and settings look even better now, and we’ve unified registration for companies and freelancers – AI Scout now asks whether you’re a freelancer or a company, making onboarding shorter and clearer.
Contractor Management Launches in Europe and the UK
Who It’s For: Businesses
The big Contractor Management news – the product is now fully live in Europe and the United Kingdom.
To meet European compliance requirements, we updated the verification and authentication processes, and reworked payment flows. It’s now easier for companies to work with international contractors across Europe.
Smaller updates:
- Updated the Payments section with a breakdown of payouts by contractor
- Added clearer onboarding with a quick product tour
- Simplified the profile, Wallet, and navigation interfaces
- Made KYC and beneficial owner verification steps more transparent
