Panayiotis Andreou (b. 1997) is a visual artist based in Cyprus. His practice explores the relationship between material, image, and memory, focusing on the humble and the marginal, on what is silenced or forgotten. Through relief monotypes and fragile forms, he activates memories of the domestic space and the objects that inhabit it, as material and tactile traces. Motifs that once adorned everyday objects re-emerge as sites of reflection, loss, and resistance.
He has presented solo exhibitions such as The Dreams Factory (2023) in Nicosia and Translate like a knife (2022) in Trevi, and has participated in major group shows including Syndromes of Synthetic Never (2026), curated by Evagoria Dapola at Upper Ankyle, Athens, Sonic Entanglements (2025), DECENNIAL: A Creative Legacy (2025), curated by Maria Stathi, Art Seen Contemporary, Nicosia, Land[e]scapes, Art Seen, Nicosia (2024), and Closer to A Sustained Caress (2023).His work has been shown in venues such as the Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki, NiMAC, Nicosia, and Palazzo Trinci in Italy.
Alongside his artistic practice, he is active in education and set design. In 2022, he was awarded the First Engraving Prize in the “Telemachos Kanthos” Fine Arts Competition, and he has taken part in residencies such as the Contemporary Festival (2023) in Sardinia.
His work is included in collections such as the State Gallery of Contemporary Art (Nicosia), as well as in private collections in Greece and Italy.
