Vasso Fragkou (b. 1986, Volos, Greece) is a contemporary ceramic artist and sculptor whose work explores organic forms, movement, and the expressive potential of material. She studied at AKTO Art and Design in Athens, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Technology and completed her Master’s degree in Studio Ceramics at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. In addition to her formal education, she has undertaken numerous specialized courses in ceramic sculpture in Italy.
Her work is characterized by flowing, wave-like forms and organic structures that evoke natural elements such as water, wind, and growth. Through careful manipulation of clay and other materials, she creates sculptures that balance movement and stillness, often capturing a moment of transformation. She has exhibited extensively in Greece and internationally, participating in both solo and group exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and beyond. Her work has been presented at major art events and institutions, including Art Athina, Art Taipei, the Moscow Fair, and the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale in South Korea. She has also exhibited in prominent venues such as the Archaeological Museums of Pella and Delphi, the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery in London, and the European Ceramic Context in Denmark.
